The Benefits of Learning Reiki

Have you been thinking about joining us for the Reiki I and II workshop on May 18th and 19th or the Advanced Reiki Training (Reiki IIIa) on June 8th? Here are just a few of the benefits of learning Reiki for you to consider as you make your choice:

• Learning Reiki gently opens space deep within us, making room for deep healing to begin. 
• Every Reiki attunement received clears the pathway between our energy centers--our chakras--removing blockages and clearing away residual negativity!
• Many people report amazing healing unfolding within them in the days and even weeks after class.
• Reiki is a wonderful tool for deepening your self-healing practice; it is both gentle and powerful, and it can soften even the hardest places within us and prepare those places for healing.
• "Rei" means spiritually guided; "Ki" means life force energy. Connecting more closely with the precious energy of the Universe helps us to discover and come closer to knowing our oneness with all existence. Every teacher you ever study with will share information differently and have different life experiences and intuitive knowings to share with you. Honor YOUR Shift with Reiki

It's eclipse season! The shift is in full swing, calling us to step up to the proverbial plate and live our Truth. I have found Reiki to be an ideal tool for both helping us undergo the healing we know we're ready for, as well as helping to prepare us to be ready for that deeper healing that we need, but might not feel quite ready for!

Reiki never fails to surprise me with the depth and power of its gentle healing. Along my own path, I have had certain life struggles... certain aspects of myself that I have long wanted to change, things I wished could just be different for me. But there is a big difference between wanting something to change, wanting for it to be different, and actually being ready to embody that change and that growth! Reiki helped me get there, helped me shift from the wanting to the place of readiness.

I am still healing; I am still growing. There is a reason that I hold "Healing is a Way of Life" as the mantra for my practice! This is my journey, and I am honored to serve our world community as a mirror, a sacred reflection, a witness, an amplifier for that collective while I, myself, travel ever more deeply into my own healing.

That is the beauty of Reiki; we who serve as that sacred hollow bone for the Reiki to flow through are also healed, ourselves, even as the healing passes through us to another! WOW. My gratitude for this joyful way is eternal.

Reiki By Donation ~ A Special Announcement

On the heels of a resounding success sharing Reiki at the Asheville Wholistic Integrative Fair, I am called to make a special announcement. Starting today, Blue Mountain Reiki will no longer be charging specific fees for Reiki sessions. Instead, I am moving to a 100% donation model for session work.

At the fair, I was blessed with an unending stream of those who wished to receive Reiki, some of them for the very first time. I left out a donation jar and invited anyone and everyone who stopped by to hop on my table for free. By the end of the day, practitioners all around me were breaking down there booths, and I was still doing Reiki. When I got home, I counted up my tip jar and found that the universe had provided me with EXACTLY the cost of my booth fee for the fair, plus five dollars--probably the approximate cost of my gas to get there!

WOW. I had been sitting with the idea of moving to a 100% donation model for Reiki sessions and had felt like the fair would be a good place for me to see how that worked. The universe spoke loud and clear: When I opened my heart and my hands to provide for people without any attention paid to money coming in, the energetic exchange was--practically to the penny--exactly what I needed.

This was the sign I was looking for! I am putting my faith and trust in the source of Love and Light that is truly the one offering the Reiki, and I am honoring my place in the energetic foodchain by offering my time as mirror, witness, and channel for healing without attaching a pricetag to that.

My teaching fees will remain as they are, but my heart has led me very specifically to open up my Reiki session offerings to any and all who wish to have them. Even those who cannot afford regular session prices still need and deserve healing. And so, I open this new doorway to the future of my practice by inviting each of you to honor our time together only with what you are truly able to afford and called to offer.

With TRUST in our innate ability to live in ABUNDANCE without clamoring for it...

Blue Mountain Reiki at Asheville Wholistic Integrative Fair

I am very pleased to announce that Blue Mountain Reiki will be participating in this year's Asheville Wholistic Integrative Fair! The 2013 fair will be held on Saturday March 9th at the Asheville Renaissance Hotel at 31 Woodfin St. in downtown Asheville, NC.

I will be offering free mini Reiki sessions to all who stop by to visit the booth, and I will also have pamphlets detailing what Reiki is and how it works, as well as flyers for my upcoming classes. I sincerely hope you'll drop by and give me a hug and get some free Reiki!

Exciting Times at Blue Mountain Reiki!

Whew! It has been a very busy and happy start to the year here at Blue Mountain Reiki! As I reflect on this now, here on the eve of my 33rd birthday, I am immensely grateful for the Light that is flowing into my life and to this practice. I find myself pausing in moments to marvel at how beautifully this is all unfolding. Just another reminder to myself to TRUST THE PROCESS and allow the healing to come into being! Wow:)

My class schedule is up and running, and January's class time was truly wonderful. I've got a February class coming up here in Asheville, and am waiting to announce March and April dates, as I may be holding a Reiki I only course in Florida in March.

Additionally, Blue Mountain Reiki hosted its first Reiki Support Group just last weekend. We had an amazing turnout for this event, and I am so excited to see what kinds of Reiki community events and volunteer efforts we are able to create together in 2013! I have also been receiving some wonderful feedback about my recent article in Reiki News Magazine. This was a truly joyful endeavor for me, and it is an honor to be included.

January is not even over yet, and so very many wonderful things are happening and in the works. May this beautiful energy flow strong and clear in the year ahead! Sending Reiki for joy and abundance to each and every soul reading these words who wishes to receive it...

And So It Begins...

At 11:11 GMT today, the moment of perhaps the most anticipated solstice of modern times came to pass. And so it begins. Here we are, at the dawn of the rest of our lives. People will die today. People will be born today. People will live and love and feel every range of emotions today. In many ways, it is no different than any other day. And yet, it is a new day. It is a chance for each and every one of us to take pause and reflect upon the path that is unfurling before us. No need to look back. What matters is where you want to go from right here, right now.

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't change. Don't let anyone's expectations or assumptions box you in. You are not the sum of the opinions of others. You are a unique spark, shining brightly even in the storm. You have the power to become. You have the Light of all lights within you! You are sacred! Yes, you!!!

So take this moment... take this breath... and BECOME.
